La Puerta
A new work by Alejandro Carlos Maass
An artist-led documentary and exhibition project in development
After concluding a two-decade chapter of public mural work in Pilar, Argentina, Alejandro Carlos Maass stands before a new creative threshold.
In 2026, Yasser found Maass on social media and contacted him about two paintings he had preserved. The works had resurfaced more than twelve years after a Miami exhibition.
La Puerta begins with an original work to be conceived, interpreted, and created by Maass. Its form, scale, visual language, and meaning will emerge from the artist’s own experience—his relationship to his work, his country, and the passage he now chooses to explore.
Custodianship, connection and creation
Two recovered paintings, whose earlier history is only partly known, have opened a new creative chapter: La Puerta, an original work to be created by Maass.
The people behind La Puerta
Maass leads La Puerta’s artistic direction, defining its form, scale, visual language, and meaning.
Yasser’s role is one of custodianship—caring for the recovered paintings, preserving their known history and continuing the dialogue with the artist.
Wyse Synergy helps develop and document the project, seek support, and share it with audiences. Maass leads the creative work, while Yasser cares for the recovered paintings.
A documentary portrait
A documentary portrait is being developed alongside the artwork. Centered on Maass’s voice and creative process, it will explore the making of La Puerta, the artist’s history, his relationship with Argentina, and the meaning he gives to this new passage.

Looking ahead
The longer-term vision may include an exhibition bringing La Puerta together with selected works from Maass’s wider practice, accompanied by recorded conversations and public programming. Locations, dates and production scope remain in development.
